this time round,its more personal as i am going to share my experience in
OUTWARD BOUND SCHOOL SINGAPPORE!
As i mentioned before i was going for the camp...and now i am back(like 2 weeks ago)
haha,abit hay wired uh my clock!X.X
i have no idea how i am going to start....hmph lets go by days!
DAY 1
As usual in the bus with a big group of my beatty mates on the way to the campsite!
We super joke,compare our bag packs then some of us still bring snacks like go there party!
Liling had the smallest bag i swear,i really salute her greatness in stuffing and organising her items!
Ying qing shared with us her potato chips and marcus that fattie,down there stealing and one lump on two seats!
hahah,then shao hng and edric and marcus they play dare through scissors,paper,stone.
SO DUMB,they shout random things...PENI3!hahahah,omg,i also influenced.
When we came down,all of us were like bhb over there saying our school special service and very tua uh.
Then we seperated into our groups and bid farewell to that naggy discipline master and physical education teacher- Mr lee.He super long winded sia,spam our email + keep reminding us like broken caset tape.ARGHH.finally he gone.He still accompanied all the way with us in the bus then he ownself go back which was sweet of him...cannot deny.
We then seperate with most of the beattyians and go to only own groups.That time i only knew that me,
- jieli(JELLY),
- adeline(ADE),
- merryl(MERRR),
- marcus,
- ames and
- justin same group as me.
okay thats quite alot of same school mates since a group consist of 16 members.
My school already take up 7/16 members.
Instead of a group,we call it a Watch.watch members etc.
The staff left us sitting on the ground for at least 45mins before talking to us,by then,there were other students from other schools sitting in my watch behind us...and we didn't communicate at all with them:/
The staff begun by introducing the terms,rules,warnings,instructors to us at one go.
Outwards bound means a ship leaving its dock and set sail to embark on a journey with a watch.
Similarly us,the campers,leaving our comfy home for a ride of our lives.WOW.impressed?i am..LOL
Our instructors are benjamin(ben) & jonathan(john)...WHich at first i was happy because ben quite good looking(not like shuaii lahh) and john...look like adrian pang that mediacorp artist.
serious,all my watchmates agree!hahahahahah
They brought our watch to a corner and start introducing our watch name: DA GAMA(Y)
Da gama is a famous sea adventurer just like raffles,colombia etc.he watches are all named with the sea expedition heroes.even have Nila Utama.which i thought it was Sangnila Utama.it was three syllabusX.X
Then we introduce one by one with name,cca,school:) most were NPCC as this was a course for them that prolly they could achieve some awards.
continuing with some watch forming game and that is how i know LINDA(li na),CHERMAYNE(chermye-say it fast) and CJ(chee jian,he prefers us calling him that)
and we had our very first watch photo!:DDDD

OBS DA GAMA 2011
okay,while waiting to set sail to pulau ubin,we played a few more games.
one that was so useful was the birthday section.we are suppose to not communicate in anyway and get ourselves into a line starting from the right the oldest to the youngest in terms of birthday!it really help you remember your watch mates special day!
hen we reached pulau ubin,the instructors showed us our DA GAMA store room and confiscated our valuables and handphone.our outside food as well!like wthhh!!T^T
me and jieli decide to buy potato chips eat there oneT^T.
Apparently,our store key was faulty thus we had to use same other store rooms:(
If i am not wrong,we chose the store i/cs and food i/cs
linda and chermayne took on the role of store while me and marcus became the food i/cs
We headed to the canteen,retrieved two boxes of food supplies then quickly packed them into barrels stored and daily consumption.
The rest helped out,eat lunch or packed their bag packs.
okay,the custom here or at least for my watch is the instructors give you task(s) and we as a watch just have to tell him the time needed to complete and report and thats it.
if we know we that we cannot fulfill the time requirement,we need to find our instructors in the office and tell them beforehand...or else we will get scolded.
And we got it,we were scolded a few times!

okay,so i rmbed that
We were suppose to pack 'our' bags for the 2,3,4 day because we are not staying in the campsite.
our instructor said for this 3 days ,our belonging within the bag should only take up
6/8?
5/8?
no.
1/8 SPACE.
of our bag packs...the bag is the mountain climber kind.
long and big with lots of pocket even the outer part could put our poncho and life vest!
okay so we split tasks.some go bathe and some pack their bags.
i wet to bathe and went i came back,the store left two bags.
I took one and realized afterwards that the bag has ants...and a bigger dead insect.
i freaked out but really tried to hold in.
I tried to asked if anyone could change or help but i was kinda still shy and i felt i will waste their time,thus i felt helpless.
i was already reluctant to 'own' that bag and hope to get a new one.
I then went to the staff room to look for my instructor with another of my friend who
lost her bag...and i got kinda rejected by my instructor.
He asked me to deal with insect problem and it was now my responsibility:(
i felt a sense of hopelessness and went back to try to deal with that bag.
But,i couldn't.i was really scared of the ants which was a whole bunch infesting the bag.
i got so ill and i was angry at myself for being so useless...like scared of this kind of shit for a long time.i could feel my myself shivering at the thought of it and i was at the verge of my tears.
i didn't even know i could be that scared of ants.
so i tried to ask for help and as my friend tried to explain what happened to the others.
i felt offended when he said "her bag"....i cut in to say i isn't mine and i cried.like wtf oh shit.
i felt to stupid to even cry,i couldn't stop then i like attract so much attention-.-
In the end my friend offered to change bag and i felt so guilty and the rest help to clear away the insects.Later that day the instructor knew about it and talked to me.
He asked me was i better and talked about my problem and i held back my tears again,i couldn't sop thinking about the whole incident,then he asked me to the scale of 10,how afraid i was about ants and i thought of 6 but my heart tells me it was 8.so i said 8 and he was shocked,i was shocked that i could even get to afraid of it.

DAY 2
After breakfast,we set off to the next campsite...we were going to trek there:)
The journey could say it was fast but it was the first time we carried such a heavy bag.
So we walk like ninja turtles!hahah:D the walk was also a bit challenging because at first
there was a long flight of steps.then it was slippery mud paths down slope.
i was the fastest girl in my group,most probably because my bag was light i guess:/
When we reached,we were all like typical singaporean complaining!
We had lunch at that campsite which looks more upgraded as it is opened for the public as well!
Before eating,instructor asked some to help take the equipment we need later on for high elements activity!Before reaching the store,we passed by marcus sim,jordan group and marcus told me there was a girl that likes me!haha,i was surprised at first but when i saw her,i really wanted to befriend her so i said HI!and she waved back!yay:)
Later i joined the rest for lunch and i first time saw bryan laughing and smiling!LOL,i lateX.X
After lunch we did the high elements activity outdoor but it rained and none of us actually even climbed up!So we proceed into the indoor hall...and the instructor challenged us!
We got two activities to choose and every time we climbed higher we got more points!
the points will decide our meal and our sleep place!
i didn't wanna climb already because i have phobia of heights.(yeah,i freaking troublesome)
BUt later the instructor go ask me and adeline to climb and we try lo.
WE HANGED UP THERE FOR SO LONG WITH AWKWARD POSITIONS
and we were definitely wasting time.not helping!
in the end,we didn't reached our targeted total points but we passed the test!
Instructor ben challenged us that if we passed our target,he will cook for us!!!but nahhh,we so kind we didn't met the target:)))...hahahhahahahahaha(fake laughter)
in the end we end up eating in a cook house at the campsite(most awesome camp ever)
and sleep somewhere near with olene,melissa,val and rach group!
it was horrible sleeping in tents without sleeping bag.yesh.
DAY 3
We woke up with loads of aches and i was so tiredT^T As usual we did our morning exercise but this time with melissa's group...and tgt we are called group 2 charlie!hahah:D
